Little House Big House

LITTLE HOUSE BIG HOUSE

Little House Big House! That's the name, the church of CPM, the house of grubbin! That's the name of the new spot, can't wait to move.
Here's a small update. Original house inside. Pretty standard, nice little spot. 8' ceilings and finish molding on all the openings. Nice, but cramped.

There's the little house part.
Now time for the big house part,
Now the ceiling starts at 12 feet and vaults to 15 feet, and the old windows are so old single pain leaded glass it would be impossible to heat the house for less than a small fortune so we're taking them out... but we're not getting rid of them. they will be incorporated in the high wall.
Cakes has captured my essence here!
On to the food.... 'cause you can't work on an empty stomach.

Chuckles may favorite candy, I've been eating a lot of candy lately, I gotta cut that out.

HG-CPM-TV

Seriously, every week there is a crisis to avert. Few weeks ago it was shit head family member bullshit. Few weeks before that, was we need to move, and a few before that, it was time to become an entrepreneur. This week was "insurance company needs this done at the new house or they'll drop us" situation.

So they wanted us to fix the roof and gutter on the garage. The garage, the least of our worries, the last step in the entire process, the weekend left over work after you moved in and waited for the spring to come to knock it out type of job... yup the garage.

This is what they wanted fixed.

So the roof didn't get like that by accident, nope. front to the 2nd joist, rotted, termite damaged wood.
Ok, got it.
Myself, Big Mike, and Marc - The Air Team Crew, Knocked it out in 2 days.
Day One, rough framing, BYYAAAHHHH!!!!!
Day 2 shingles and flat roof, and pvc finish "wood" to skin that bad boy!
BYAAAAHHHHHH!!!
So we had pizza everyday for lunch this week! From somewhere different everyday.
PEACE A PIZZA yeah shit was GOOOOOOD!!! PESTO PIZZA IS THE SHIT!!!!!

In the words of Dave Hause "BEAT IT"

So I find myself peering out the front door window, every time I walk past it. Not just for a second, but a prolonged pause. Leering. I Realized I'm the old dude that's gonna tell people " to get of his lawn " and I'm okay with that.
Cakes and I purchased a new dwelling. Not far from this one, but out of the city. 2 miles out of the city. We are currently gutting said habitat to update, insulate, renovate, and con-figurate, to accommodate our desire-(ate). Cakes has been documenting the progress or shall I say de-evolution here.

Here Goes, there was once a restaurant named Bertolini's in the K.O.P. mall, they had a dish called Fazzoleto. It was awesome. Folded sheets of pasta, ricotta cheese sauce with spinach covered in mushroom gravy. Cakes knew I was devastated when we went one night and it was closed for good. She recreated it a few weeks later. AWESOME!

Children should be seen and not heard. - My Father.

I bought my house 11 years ago in a working class neighborhood in Philadelphia. Not one of the HIP ones just a normal one, not far from where I grew up. The 'hood was developed in the 50's, so when I moved in there were still some original owners and a few established families here. Many really nice OLD PEOPLE. But, it's changed. There are now 6 or 7 NEW families on the block (with multiple children) and they congregate or should I say used to congregate on my front steps, lawn, sidewalk, patio, further away front steps, and from time to time the side yard, they all made friends with the neighbors that shared the front steps with us... NEW neighbors.. or should I say neighbeers? Constantly partying, nightly hang outs on the front porch, It got old, quick. I stopped going outside. Then THE incident. It was a Saturday night around 1030 (I hadn't slept the night before cause, guess who was having a party... ok, I figured they'd take a night off... nope) there was around 8 children having razor scooter races up and down the sidewalk SCREAMING at the top of there lungs... 2 parties going on and almost every neighbor on the block hanging on the neighbeers patio. I busted out of my house screaming about the kids and the noise and said many, many, (police academy "many") awful things. A year of pleasantries out the window. The cops were at my door an hour later. I felt awful about it. Tried to apologize but I was met with threats thrown at me. So I just avoid them as much as possible, now more than before. This was a double Veggie burger with grilled pineapple and avacado, tomato, and black bean salsa with pepper jack and cheddar, from The Counter in Hawaii, my real home. This spot is owned by the JIN from LOST... Michael and Jin we're grubbin' when Heather and I went.
Little did they know they were dining in the same room with the dude from NMB!!!!!!!!

BBBBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We Be Grubbin' !

This is the first post, here's the deal. CPM is my name and grubbin' is my game. So... this is a food blog, but I promise to hit on other points; like Guitar, Work, Cycling, NMB, and they all tie in to food! Food Food Food!!! I think about dinner at 10am it drives Cakes (my wife) crazy sometimes.

So here goes, my brother and I run a HVAC company. We both work 7 days a week. Saturday we had a service call, then lunch. He's a picky eater. Luckily we're friends with the Head Chef at Cantina Dos Segundos, he came out to see us and we placed a special order for Jarrett (my brother). Chicken burrito, with cheese and rice, covered in red enchilada sauce and cheese.
He raved about it the entire time he was eating it! Thanks MARK!
